Butterfly Prints Samples!

I just love this card.... I used Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Old Olive, Poppy Parade, and Basic Gray.
The zig zag was done with the Tasteful Trim Die... I embossed the 3 butterflies with White powder and punched them out with the Butterfly Punch...The greeting is from the Curly Cute stamp set and the ribbon is Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

I thought this was a fun card....It uses only Poppy Parade, Basic black and Whisper White.  I used the Scallop Circle Die and the Clear Circle Die for the large circles and the Scallop Circles #2 die for the smaller scallop circle and the Circles #2 die.  I used the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" square punches and ran the smaller white square thru the Finial Press Embossing Folder.  I used the Rhinestones to add a little sparkle!

I love this card too!!! I used Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, Soft Suede, and Whisper White for this card....I embossed the butterflies in white and punched them out with the butterfly punch.  The Blushing Bride was run thru the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder.  The Round Tab Punch was used to put the greeting from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp set.  Add a little elegance with the Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon.

I was playing with some different color combinations when I made this card...it is Rich Razzleberry,
Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive!  Fun!  I ran the Whisper White layer thru the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder and wrapped it with the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon in Pumpkin Pie.  The saying is from the stamp set Word Play and was markered.  Enjoy!

Floral and Heart samples!!!

This card was made using the stamp set For All You Do and the Newsprint DSP. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla.  The brads are from the Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads and the ribbon is the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry.

This card is sooooo darling!!! I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit with Real Red Cardstock for the strawberry and the stem was made by punching Old Olive with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and then cutting it down to 5 petals....The Boho Blossoms Punch made the little white flowers and the leaves are made by stamping the flower in Old Olive and then cutting them into just 2 leaves...assemble with a brad.
The little flowers are stamped with the Whisper White Craft Pad....so adorable!

I made this card with just Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake...it is so simple and elegant!!!
I used the Finial Press Embossing Folder for the layer on the card...one Scalloped Heart of Hearts embossed heart, and then I cut out a Full Heart punch and ran it thru the Petals a Plenty embossing Folder.  Use the Eyelet Border Punch for the trim and add 3 Pearls and the Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  The saying is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and I completed the card by spritzing with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

Build a Blossom stamp set!!!

I just love it when we come out with a stamp set with a matching punch!!! So when we came out with Build a Blossom and the matching Blossoms Petals Builder punch I was thrilled!! This was a card we made at an open house a while ago...It uses the Window Sheet as the actual card and if you attach the petals on the front of the window sheet  you can hide it by taping the More Mustard layer on the back of the front of the card and the Whisper White on the front so the window sheet is sandwiched between the layers.  The colors of this card are So Saffron, More Mustard, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and  I used a Vintage Brad for the center.

I love this card....I used Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Old Olive ink.  The petals were stamped with Marina Mist on Baja Breeze Cardstock and the leaves are Old Olive on Certainly Celery cardstock.  I ran the Marina Mist and Chocolate Chip thru the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and the ribbon is Baja Breeze Seam Binding.  I sponged the edges in Chocolate Chip and curled the petals and put dimensionals under the center of each petal.   Pretty!

This card uses Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, and Tango Tangerine.
I ran the Chocolate Chip thru  the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder.  The edges of the Crumb Cake layer are distressed with the Distressing Tool.  The Very Vanilla cardstock is stamped with En Francais background stamp in Crumb Cake and sponged.  The saying is from the You're a Gem stamp set.
Hope you enjoyed the samples!!!

Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot Die!!!

I just loved making this card....I used the Beautiful Butterflies Die with the Patterned Designer Series Paper stacks....The colors are Baja Breeze, So Saffron and Melon Mambo.  I love using the Linen thread for the butterfly body and antennae and to add the cute little button bow!  I also used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the corner rounder.

This card was made by my friend Dena Rekow...The colors are Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Daffodil Delight...She cut out the butterfly with  a DSP we do not carry anymore but you could use the Newsprint DSP instead...She used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch and the Boho Blossoms Punch.  Stamp sets used were Word Play and Style Beautiful.  The Rosette in the center was made by cutting a circle out of our Sticky Sheets and then you twist Satin Ribbon and start in the middle of the sticky circle and wrap around and trim off when sticky circle is covered.  Cute!!

I got this idea from a Regional I attended...I cut the Butterflies from the Patterened DSP in Concord Crush.  The backgound was made by taking the clearmount stamp set Broadsheet Alphabet and using
clear block  "I"  and covering the entire block with the letters in different directions and then inked it with the Daffodil Delight ink and stamped it on Daffodil Delight cardstock...I used the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to add some texture and the Tiny Tags Stamp set and matching Jewelry Tag Punch and attached it with a brad.
The colors on this card are Regal Rose, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla...The background stamp was the Tres Chic Stamp that is discontinued so you could use the En Francais stamp instead...I also used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder and the Top Note Bigz Die.  The thank you is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and I used the Color Spritzer to splatter the entire card after it was assembled.

How cute is this little post it note hanger??? It was made by my director, Denise Jorgensen, and she too 2 pieces of Daffodil Delight cardstock and a portion of a stack of post it notes and ran them thru the Beautiful Butterflies die all at one time....she made sure that the top of the wings were where the "sticky" part so it will still hold together when cut.  She then ran the Daffodil Delight butterflies thru the Stripes Embossing Folder...she also cut out a Marina Mist butterfly and ran it thru the Perfect Polka Dots folder and then cut our another butterfly out of vellum cardstock...The 3 butterflies are held together with 3 silver Mini Brads.  Use the Crop-a-Dile to punch the 1/8"  hole for the binder rings....such a cute gift!!!

Hope you loved these!!!

Strawberry fun with the Flower Folds Die!!!

I have many requests to show how to make the strawberries found on page 99 of the current Idea Book & Catalog so here is a step by step tutorial.  Enjoy!

Items needed....Flower Folds XL Bigz Die, Extended Cutting Plates, Perfect Polka Dot
Embossing Folder, 5 Petal Punch and Boho Blossoms Punch, Crop-a-dile or a 1/8" circle punch, 6" piece of ribbon, and Red cardstock of your choice...I used Real Red.

Cut out the size flower that you prefer...I like the largest 2 for big strawberries...then run
thru the Perfect Polka Dots folder...punch 1/8" holes in all the petals...CUT away 2 of the petals to the center in a "V" shape.

Tape the end tabs together to form a cone...

Begin to weave the ribbon in and out thru the holes until they all
pull together to make the strawberry shape.

Punch out a 5 Petal Punch in a green color of your choice...I used Certainly Celery..punch a hole in the center of the punched shape and pull the ribbon thru the center hole.

Tie a knot on the top and trim the ends of the ribbon.

To make your own basket... I used Crumb Cake Cardstock...Cut a piece of cardstock
at 4" x 12"....score at 2" the long way and then again at 3 1/2".  The short way you need to score at 3", 6" and 9".  You will need to cut to make the tabs that fold in to make the bottom of the basket and then cut out as shown for the sides and tabs.

Fold and use the Paper Piercing Tool or 1/16" punch to punch thru the layers for the brads to connect the sides together.

View from inside all assembled...
I sponged the basket with Soft Suede when it was all completed to make it look like it had a wood grain.
Add crinkle and strawberries to make a cute basket!!!
