Firm Foam Stampin' Pads

With the introduction of the 2012-2013 annual catalog, we have made a very big change to our Stampin' Pads.
Introducing. firm foam pads! They change your stamping experience for the better.
We know you're going to love these new Stampin' Pads-just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
  • Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
  • Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
  • Pad stays juicier for longer resulting in better ink pad longevity!
In addition, our new Stampin' Pads
  • Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
  • Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)-just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
  • Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
  • Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

Our colors are NOT changing just the actual type of foam pad...
also, we are not stopping carrying all the 40 colors of 12 x 12 cardstock but not all
individual colors will be able to be purchased individually but in a color pack.

Remember that the new catalog comes out on June 1st  this year!!!!

Calli's Graduation Announcements!!!

I have been crazy busy this last week making 250 of these graduation announcements
for my youngest daughter, Calli and her best friend Joy's Open House.
Calli's favorite color is purple and Joy's is green so we went with the Wisteria
Wonder and Lucky Limeade color scheme.  I used a discontinued set (sorry but we have NO good
graduation sets right now! ) called Go, Graduate.  I ran 1/2 of the front thru the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and the numbers were cut out with the Timeless Type Sizzix Alphabet and the
Big Shot! Ughghgh...what was I thinking...1000 numbers to cut out! Thanks Calli for helping me!
I printed the inside of the invite off of my computer. Then I put each of
their senior pictures on the inside of the fold...I think it is adorable!!!
This is for her Sioux Falls open house.

This is the invitation I am making today for her Indiana open house!  It
is the school colors of Cherry Cobbler and the discontinued color Crushed Curry...I bought
alot of that color before it went out as I knew I would need it for her graduation.
I used the same set and concept except decided to stamp the "2012" as to not be needing to
basically kill myself! lol  The inside will have the printed information for the Open House
and Graduation.

Hope you enjoyed the announcements...this is my last of four kids
to make so I thought I would do it big!!!

More Mixed Bunch fun!!!

Thought I should put a few of my own creations on my blog!!!
My friend, Iris came over last week and we had fun coming up with some ideas
with the Mixed Bunch stamp set!  The top card was made with Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Whisper White, and Rich Razzleberry.  I stamped the flower and punched it out and then cut off 2 petals to make a butterfly. I used a 3/16" Basic Brad for the body of the butterfly and used a piece of
bakers twine for the antennae.  The other butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and
I layered them to add dimension.  The saying is from Cute and Curly.
The background was made using the Scoring Tool... I scored every 1/2"  vertically and horizontally to create the grid pattern...then I sponged across the card with Soft Suede to add depth.
This one was us playing with the embossing folder called Finial Press...I used the brayer and Pumpkin Pie ink and brayered the inside of the embossing folder...then I placed the Whisper White cardstock carefully in the center and ran it thru the Big Shot.  When it is done I cut the piece in 1/2 and taped it onto the tri-fold card showing both effects it creates on the cardstock.
I stamped 3 flowers in Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, and So Saffron and layered then together.
This was our attempt to copy the card in the Occasions Mini Catalog...
I used the new Diagonal Scoring Plate to create the diagonal grid on the Whisper White
cardstock.  I used Pool Party, Melon Mambo, and So Saffron on this card.  The greeting is from
Loving Thoughts...I also had fun doing the "quilling" technique with the antennae.
I took a 1/8" strip of cardstock and wrapped it around the tip of the scoring tool (you could also use the paper piercing tool) to make the curl on the antennae...then I placed the curl on a Mini Glue Dot
to hold it in place.  The butterfly is made out of the flower and matching punch and is put on with dimensionals so the quilled antennae fit underneath.

Hope you enjoy the cards!!!

Cute cards!!!

This is a cute card I made using leftove precut cardstock from my February Open House!
I used the Soaring stamp set and the colors are Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Pool
Party, and Whisper White.  I ran the Whisper White thru the Stripes Embossing Folder
and the cute little paper is from the DSP in the mini catalog.  Just the center kite
is cut out and raised with a Stampin' Dimensional!
My friend, Iris and I were playing the other day and came up with this
cute little card!!! It uses Pool Party, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, and Whisper White.
I used the Cute and Curly stamp set for the greeting up the card and then the balloons
came from the Beary Nice stamp set.  I took a piece of the white bakers twine and dyed
it Pool Party by running it across the Pool Party stamp pad and holding it down with a sponge.
I also used the Designer Frames Embossing Folder on this card!

Have a great day!!!

Easter Egg Basket Tutorial

I posted this basket on my blog the other day so I thought I would post a tutorial
of how to make a mini basket as well!  The one above was made with Pool Party this time and
the tag is layered on Island Indigo.
For this basket my measurements were 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so you could make 4 out of one piece of
8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.  I scored all four sides at 1 1/2".  Cut on the 4 scored lines as shown.
I corner round all four corners for a softer touch.

This is what it should look like when it is scored and cut.

I tape the basket together with my snail tape and then I add a handle by
taping it down into the "v" area and then punch a hole and put it all together with
a brad!  The handle is a piece of Whisper White cut at 1/2" x 6" and then I punched out
a strip with the Scallop Ribbon Punch and layered them together.

Add a tag and fill with crinkle and of course, some candy!!!

Hope you have fun with this idea....they make super cute May Day baskets
or Mother's Day luncheon favors or even Wedding favors!!!

Happy Easter!!!

This was my March workshop...the top card was made with the Fresh Vintage SAB set
and the Everyday Enchantment DSP.  I used Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, and Very Vanilla.
I dyed the Pearls with the Pool Party marker.  Such a fun card!!!
This card was a big hit!  I used the Big Top
Party DSP and the other colors are Old Olive and Real Red.
I inked the stamp with markers and stamped it and then took the versamarker
and colored on top of the cherries and used our fun new Cherry Scented Embossing Powder
to make the cherries smell!!!  Fun!  I also used an Old Olive Satin Bow and the Scallop Trim
Punch along the edges!
This was the 12 x 12 Scrapbook Page I created as well.... I used Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped the Fifth Avenue Floral stamps with Whisper White ink along the edge.  I also used Baja
Breeze and Marina Mist.  I used the Apothecary Art Stamp Set and the coordinating Label Framelits
for the journaling and the Empire Upper and Lower case alphabet for the "Family".  The flowers were watercolored and cut out and put on with dimensionals.
It was fun pulling out this "oldie but goodie"!!!  I made this cute little Easter basket
(you can use it for May Day baskets or party favors) out of Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush
and the dimensions were 5 1/2" x  6 3/4" and I scored the 4 sides at 1 3/4" to make this size basket.
I used the Scallop Ribbon Punch and layered it on a 1/2" wide piece of Whisper White Cardstock and attached it with the In-Color Polka Dot Brads and added a punched tag as well!

Hoping you have a Blessed Easter and remember God's
amazing gift of His Son!

Exciting News!!!!!

So, we got exciting news from our oldest son, Nathan, and his wife Hailey!!!
This was the gift they gave us to open together and it was the Mercer Mayer books that we
always read to our kids when they were little...."Just Grandma and Me" and "Just Grandpa and Me"!!!
We were soooo excited!!!!
To tell their siblings we went out and got some little white onesies and I stamped on all of them with the aunts or uncles names and they wrapped them for them to open and find out about the baby!!!
So fun!!

Nicholas is a math major so that is why we did his with the numbers!
We also made them for her sister and brother and Chase is going to be in the airline industry so we did a fly/airplane theme and Ashley is into stars right now.  We made these using our Craft Ink Pads and then heat set them with an iron after stamping.
Fun!
Hope you don't mind me sharing our fun news!!! First grandbaby is pretty special!

Matchbox Fun Card Box -Day 2

Here is the box card that I received in my flowers when I hit my Milestone of a Million Dollars in personal sales in July of 2009...it was so beautiful!!!  The colors are Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, and Pink Pirouette and the stamp set is Circle Circus!  The scalloped circle was made using the one single stamp in the set and was stamped in Chocolate Chip then punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch...then stamped again in Pink Pirouette and punched out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered on a pieced of Pretty in Pink....then it was stamped again in Regal Rose and punched out with the 1/2" circle punch and a Rhinestone in the center.
This is the Matchbox XL Bigz Die and the box was cut out of Chocolate Chip to hold the little
multi-fold card.  The front of the multi-fold card is stamped to coordinate.

The inside of the Multi-fold card has 1000000 that were cut out with the Sticky
Paper and covered in Chunky clear glitter.  There is a little "congrats" pennant across the "1".
They lined the inside of the box with DSP...it was absolutely adorable!!!
Such a cute special card idea!!!

Matchbox fun card box!

So my friend Iris came over and we were playing with our stamps and she saw the beautiful box that I had gotten from Shelli Gardner when I hit my Million Dollar Milestone in personal sales...that got us thinking to copy the idea for a fun Congratulations Graduate box for her daughter!  So we used the colors from her Sorority so the colors are Melon Mambe, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi and the Silver Shimmer Paper!  We used the Stars Bigz Die with our Big Shot to make the stars and ran them thru the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  We also embossed things with the Snowburst Embossing Folder as well.  The 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch is the silver and Pink Pirouette background.
I made the little banner and attached it with dimenionals and we tied a Melon Mambo Scalloped Polka Dot Ribbon around it...the picture above shows the box pushed part ways out...inside the box we made an accordian fold card that said "mazeltov" in silver glimmer paper cut out with the Big Shot with one letter on each fold...we ran out of time to finish the little card inside so I will repost this when I have the finished card!

I took the Matchbox Die for the Big Shot and made the dimensions larger so it would be a bigger box for the lettering we wanted to use....
I will post the box from Shelli tomorrow!!
Stay tuned!
